to deny all disability claims for the Blue Water Navy Vietnam Veterans
See the Feb. 5, 2016 changes here in the M21-1MR, Part IV, Subpart ii, Chapter 1, Section H, 28 h & i.
Nearly half of the surviving hundred thousand members of
the United States Navy and Fleet Marine services
who fought in Vietnam between 1962 and 1975
may currently suffer disabilities from the effects of dioxin, found in Agent Orange.
Yet, these service personnel are being denied all service-connected health care from VA Hospitals
and disability compensation for these diseases
while all other Vietnam War veterans are receiving these benefits!

If you think all Vietnam Veterans are receiving compensation benefits
for disabilities caused by Agent Orange dioxin, you are sadly mistaken.....
Members of the United States Navy, Coast Guard and Fleet Marines who served offshore
Vietnam, with no contact with the land, have been removed by the VA from their coverage under
the Agent Orange Act of 1991, and are denied Health Care and compensation benefits
for all herbicide-related diseases and disabilities - the exact same diseases and disabilities
providing full benefits to veterans whose feet touched the soil of Vietnam.
This Website provides a background of the scientific, medical, and common sense evidence
that shows this capricious action by the Department of Veterans Affairs to be illegal, non-rational, and contemptuous.

Misc. Info.
Development and contents of this site has relied extensively on the work of Susan Belanger and Taura King. They have literally spent years gathering data on veteran exposure to herbicides and other toxins in Vietnam and MANY additional areas both in South East Asia (e.g., Thailand, Laos, Cambodia) as well as other places around the world. If it were not for their long hours and hard work, the plight of the AO veteran problems would not be as advanced as they are now or will become in the future. They have done this work without pay and have freely shared their information with any veteran who could benefit from it. Susan and Taura deserve our overwhelming gratitude for all their past and continuing efforts.
